This is an old Yamaha G2 that was bought from a scrap heap and has a Honda 125 nes scooter engine and drive system fitted. I have used the Honda CVT drive coupled to the original Yamaha transfer case by using a hybrid driveshaft that was made by a local machine shop. The video was taken on its first run out, so its all a bit rough and ready. I have some testing to do before I start rebuilding i...

Vivaro 2015 rattling airbox.
Переглядів 3,5 тис.7 років тому
Since I first bought my 2015 Vivaro I noticed a humming/rattling sound coming from the drivers side engine compartment. After a little investigation I found that the air duct from the front of the van is a little loose where it goes into the air box. To remedy this I simply drove a small screw through the air box spigot into the air duct.
Vivaro 2015 cabin filter.
Переглядів 83 тис.7 років тому
This video shows the position of the cabin /pollen filter on the 2014- Vivaro, Trafic, Nissan NV300 and the Fiat Talento. It is a right pain to change the filter let alone try to video it aswell. I didn't mention it in the video, but I depressed the clutch pedal fully and wedged it on the seat base with a piece of batten 760mm long. This give much better access.

Hi, how do you replace the long plastic strips that sit under and above the window?
Thanks, helpful video. Removing the glovebox allowed me to completely remove the filter access flap which eased fitting the replacement filter.
Question...will this defy stem works upside down?
Can't see why not with a spacer beneath it👍
Dmr is the solution for cutting steerer tube to short
My T6 (66) tailgate stopped opening. I'd already bought a new actuator after reading a bunch of threads on T6 forums. When I took the thing apart everything was wet. I dried everything off and fitted the new actuator and then I was able to open the tailgate. However, since then its stopped opening again. This made me suspect its the water, as the day I replaced the actuator was the hottest and dryest day of the year! Since then we've had loads more rain and I used the pressure washer 🙄. I'll take it all apart again and check the handle seals.
Hope you sort it🤞
I will try it at the weekend.😊
Great video really well explained - some are a pain to change - especially as they don’t just slide in without squeezing them up together - stupid idea Vauxhall 😮 I’m changing one tomorrow on a vivaro ..
I need that on my D2 as the hood is usually open...LOL
Thank you 🙏

Thanks for the best Video I found in You Tube to remove the front grille Chrom stripes ,without removing the complete frontbumper. Sorry if my english ist not corect I am from Germany living nearby Cologne.👍👍
Glad it helped🤩
Jet washing the tailgate is a good reason water gets in past the seals.
The water getting to the tailgate release handle will knacker the release switch in time and you will be unable to open the tailgate. The way to release the tailgate is to remove the round plug at the base of door and tripping the latch with a finger.
Great video. Thanks for posting.
I have a 2006 T5 4motion crew cab kombi factory job. The metal plate which is sandwiched between the runner base and the bottom covered is completely rusted and separated from the main window. Can this be purchased. Thanks
Hi. I have a t6.1 that has this same issue. It’s a slightly different window mechanism but how did you get the window out to do this repair please?
You can hinge it inwards. As the upper and lower pins are retracted. You can hinge the whole window inwards and take it off completely.
Sir can you send me more photos how to convert. What parts needed? I have also 125 scooter engine. Can i copy your idea please.
Which trim tool set did you buy? Any links?
I just bought this set from TK Max. Pretty generic I think👍
VW legendary build quality???????

Love the video How did you get on with the van many problems ?🤔 Very smart looking van by the way 🔥
It's just turned 8 years old Mark, and it's been absolutely faultless👍Admittedly, I've only done 65k miles, but it carries about 500kg of kit all the time and still returns 36mpg👊 Everything is wearing well, and it's still in cracking condition😎Thanks for your comment bud 👌
Can you explain please how you removed the tailgate door card?
Justo lo que necesito para aumentar la altura de mi manillar
Nice one! Cheers!
Have you got measurements? Please
I just bought the Dmr Sect stem,it's very similar, 40mm reach with a 27mm stack height, perfect for my short ass rockshox steerer tube 👍💯
👊😎
👍👍👏👏🍀🍀
Really helpful - I've done the same fix on my T5 following your guide. Good that you shared your thinking about how to do the fix too, making the argument for it. Many thanks for posting.
My pleasure, and I'm glad it's helped👍
Helped loads!! I've bought some raceface six C 35mm carbon bars. These look ideal for my hardtail as prefer bar rise for jumps 💯cheers dude
My 17 plate T6 tailgate was filling with rainwater also. Clear silicone around the brake light & handle completely dry 😀👍🏻
Great Job! Practical and Good Loonkig...
Is this really 15mm rise? The product description says 5mm.
Technically yes, the bars are only 5mm higher than the bottom of the stem. However, the low stack height of the stem means it can have more spacers under it, effectively lifting the bars/stem relative to the top of the steerer tube👍
@@d2cdl thanks - just to be verbose, your 15mm is then in reality the measure from the top of the stem to the top of the bar?
@Rune Jensen I can't remember the exact details/maths on it, only that the Defy stem allows the bars to sit much higher than the top of the steerer than any other stem out there. I guess the maths would be, 35mm bar+5mm rise,-stack height= the height the top of the bars are above the top of the steerer🤯
@@d2cdl I was specifically wondering if this provides more rise than the Funn Equalizer Stem (10mm). Measuring over design charts for both it does seem like this provides a bit more when measured from the top of the stem, probably 5mm.
@Rune Jensen The Funn stem allows the top of the bars to sit 11mm above the top of the steerer, and Defy stem allows 13mm 👍
Thank you, I should be picking up my vivaro next week , Im going to sikaflex that plate , the next day...

Can you add links to parts here please links in description not working
For some reason my account wont allow clickable links in my videos description. You can copy and paste them though👍
The links won't copy and paste 🤦🏻♂️
@@derekswift969 I've tried again to verify this channels account so it can have clickable links, but it's still not working. Both parts can from Van Parts Direct👍
Thanks for this video and clarifying the difference. I've bought an orbea rise in XL (I'm 6ft 4). If you put my dropper post to the height I need it, the bars are so much lower that the seat height it's unreal. I've just purchased today some one-up carbon e-bar with a 35mm rise. I was searching for a stem, found this one on Google and looked for a video, yours popped up first. This combined with the one-up bars will be perfect. As it is, I look like I'm on a road Racer being that low down at the front 🤣
Very helpful, Im considering the DMR for a higher rise. Im currently using the Race face. Great explanation!!!!
My bottom rail had become detached at the back end. Can anyone recommend a particular bonding type that should be used to fix it back to the glass? I will also need to carry out the leak fix once the rail is bonded to the glass
Did you find an answer to this question? I have the same problem on my VW Caddy.
I had to replace with a new window.
I'll buy the dmr35 if you don't use it 🇬🇧🙏🤟,just noticed this is 3 year's old lmno 🤣😆
You helped a lot, thanks 👍🏼
excellent work mate!
Hi bud🖐I've got one on all my bikes now👊Cheers
@@d2cdl I'm in the US and about to order one. Who would be the best dealer in the UK to order from?
@@pressrolls I bought mine cheap of ebay, but I would think any of the main UK based suppliers will provide a good service to the USA 🇺🇸 🤟
How fast?
I limited to faster buggy to 30mph as it was way to dangerous😳 (30,s too fast really)
@@d2cdl thanks for responding so quickly.
@@maysonnevers3042 👍
How can I make mine this fast I have Yamaha g1
Hi mate, I know it's an old video but I have the same problem with my van. Would you be so kind to tell where did you get that engine cover from? I'm on about the one that stops the water from leaking into the head.
Hi Vasile. The cover over the engine head was factory fitted on all 2007 onwards vans👍
This whole isue just got a lot worse - a T6 Kombi had it's slider window fall out due to corrosion behind the slider bottom rail caused by the known leak problem . The rusting [ which is hidden from view ] causes the botton slider rail to sag / drop and the slider window falls out . A very serious safety issue with catastrophic implications .
Same thing exactly happened on my VW Caddy!
Just bought a 2017 Renault lwb sport version 🤘😎🤘
Hi Wayne🖐You won't be disappointed bud, and this one of mine has been excellent in the 7 years I've had it now. I regularly get 38mpg and it's so smooth to drive👍
@@d2cdl I have a Peugeot expert lwb 2.0 from new on a 19 plate great van but like a fool I leased it so have bought this time round 🤘😎🤘
🤘😎🤘
Cheers Wayne👊
Have you had anymore leaks since?
Hi Adam. Not a single drop has got inside the van since I did this👍
@@d2cdl Mega, thanks so much for this, just bought a T6 I love other than the leaky windows! Will give this a try and report back, much appreciated
@@adamdavies3598 Good luck bud🤞
Why did you remove the glovebox? mine came out without removing any panels, this is not correct advice. Watch this instead: ua-cam.com/video/-tJhRNmHXig/v-deo.html
But what if you put the defy stem down where the raceface stem sits? Then is it 5mm?
Yes, but the beauty of the Defy stem is its low stack height, meaning the bars sit much higher than the top of the steerer when the stem is also at the top of the steerer. Relative to the top of the steerer tube, the Defy stem raises the bars 20mm more than the RF one.
